  Turkish FM calls for support for Zangazur corridor opening Amid Armenia 

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has called for support for the opening of the Zangazur corridor during the press conference following the ninth trilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani and Georgian counterparts in Baku. 

The Turkish Foreign Minister highlighted the realities as a result of the victory in Karabakh: "The victory has created new realities. Now it seems possible to ensure lasting peace in the region. We are waiting for support for the opening of the Zangazur corridor. Jeyhun Bayramov informed us about the latest meeting between Azerbaijan and Armenia".

Meanwhile, Georgian FM Ilia Darchiashvili underlined the importance of the joint projects for the region as he addressed the press conference following the 9th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers.

“Joint transportation and energy projects by Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye increase the importance of the region,” Darchiashvili said.

"Today we discussed common transportation and energy projects. These projects raise the importance of our region, they ensure energy security of Europe. In addition, the projects of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor are operating successfully," he added.
